I recently hosted one of my dear friend’s baby shower, with a Lumberjack baby shower theme (she’s having a BOY!!). It started at 11 am, so I served brunch food and was thinking about serving mimosas…but wanted the mom-to-be to not miss out on any of the fun. So, I came up with this fun and fizzy Flannel and Fizz mocktail, perfect for a Lumberjack baby shower (or Christmas party, or any other event that you want to serve something special, without alcohol.)
Flannel and Fizz Mocktails
Makes 8 mocktails
- 32 oz of COLD ginger ale
- 24 oz of COLD cranberry juice
- 2 oranges
- 10 sprig of fresh rosemary
- Ice for serving
Slice both oranges into wedges. Separate one orange for garnishes and one orange to combine with the cranberry juice.
In a pitcher combine the cranberry juice and 1/2 of the orange wedges designated to go into the juice (this is one half of one orange.) Take the other half of the orange slices and squeeze the juice into the cranberry juice, and then add the squeezed skins too. Add in 2 sprigs of the rosemary and set pitcher aside. Refrigerate if you won’t be serving immediately. This can even be done the night before.
When ready to serve cocktails:
With the other orange, place 1-2 slices in each glass (champagne or martini shaped glasses work well here, but any glass will do!) Add a sprig of rosemary to each glass.
Fill each glass with approximately 4 oz of the cranberry juice mixture, then top with the chilled ginger ale, leaving a little room at the top because it will FIZZ!
Enjoy!
