Crisp and buttery tasting, these gluten-free pressed cookies are going to be a staple for so many of your holidays – make fun shapes for children’s parties, flower shapes for bridal showers, wreaths, and trees for Christmas or hearts for Valentine’s Day! They also make wonderful wedding favors.
I won’t lie, these do take more time than I usually spend on making cookies – but they are so fun and taste yummy! They are great to make in a single shape (like these hearts) and tuck into containers and combined with quick drop cookies to add a pop of color! There are so many fun ways to celebrate using these gluten-free pressed cookies.
They are perfect for wedding and shower favors.

Gluten-Free Pressed Cookies
1 cup of butter
1/2 cup of sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp of almond or vanilla extract (flavoring)
2 1/4 cups of gluten-free Cup 4 Cup flour
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Mix butter, sugar, egg, salt, and flavoring thoroughly. Measure flour and sift (stir with a whisk to incorporate some air.)
Work flour into the butter/sugar mixture. Divide into parts and press into desired shapes thru a cookie press, directly onto an ungreased baking sheet.
Bake for 6-9 minutes, or until set but NOT brown.
Makes about 4 dozen cookies.
These cookies are so fun to use as party and wedding favors or thank you gifts at events. I LOVED these little heart boxes so much I had to add them to my shop 🙂
