Win: In this section, you will write the number/name of the horse you think will finish first. Check the racing website or program for the horse's number and odds.
Place: In the "Place" section, you enter the number/name of the horse you believe will finish in first or second place. This bet pays out if your chosen horse finishes first or second.
Show: Here, you will list the number/name of the horse you expect to finish third. A show bet pays if your horse finishes in any of the top three positions.
Wager: Indicate the amount of money you want to bet in this section. Each type of bet (Win, Place, Show) needs to have the wager amount specified if you are betting different amounts on each; in our game here, we have a set bet for each, so this is the total line for all the bets. For example, if you've set the bet at $2 each, and they bet on Win, Place and Show, they will write $6 here, $2 if they only bet on Win, and $4 if they bet on Win and Place.
